This Friday might not be the same for everyone, the most historical day which changed the Desktop PC era is celebrated by all the good folks at "Intel". The No.1 Processor manufacturer just turned 20 Years old today.
The first Intel "Pentium" processor was launched on March 22nd, 1993 and the heavy marketing by Intel back then made the term "Intel Pentium" a synonym to PC's.
To remind you the path we covered so far, technological development we went through and our current state in that revolution, here is the quick walk through. --
If you're old enough to recall, the chip ean circles around its 486DX2 predecessor. The original Pentium P5 was available in 60MHz and 6MHz variants, and was manufactured with an 800-nanomerter fabrication process, which is quite big in contract with today's 22nm chips floating around in the market.
Let's watch some YouTube Videos to learn more about he Path we traveled so far and live some historical moments by ourselves.
