MoviePass launched for Android this week. A "Netflix for the theater" the app lets you go see a 2D movie a day for a single monthly charge. With the app you check in to the particular showing of a film you'd like to see, a move that activates a special debit card you're given to ultimately make your ticket purchase at the Box Office.
3. Simpsons Tapped Out [Download | Android]
The Simpsons Tapped Out arrived for Android this week. A Springfield-themed SimCity, the game lets you build your own Springfield and complete tasks to earn donuts. The free game includes original content from the writers and animators of the series, and will offer regular content updates over time for new game action.
4. Blink [Download | Windows]
Blink for Windows Phone 8 launched this week. A smart camera of sorts, the app records a burst of images both before and after you snap a photo, giving you the ability to swipe forward or back in time to get the perfect shot. Advanced image stabilization technology from Microsoft research removes camera shake from photos, ensuring you always get the shot you want.
5. BBC Sport
The BBC launched its first app this week for international sports audiences. Currently for iOS only, BBC Sport gives users live scores, stats, schedules, standings and commentary on a number of sports ranging from soccer to Formula One.
