Everybody who knows about something related to technology knows that there has been a cold war going on among Microsoft and Google since like forever. Since a last few decades, they have been trying to outrun each other in every way possible.
Now another thing has been fed into the minds of european authorities and that tip might actually cost Microsoft in a very large amount. Some extra body made a tip that has resulted in the loss of trust of euopean's in Microsoft.
They claimed that microsoft has been bullying its customers. The information didn't cause any stampede because starangely enough no one was that much surprised!
Now that the authorities have ruled their decision, the window-makers will have to pay a fine of $732 million! and believe me thats a whole lot of sum to pay just for fine raised up by anti-trust concerns. And in all this mess its confirmed that it was google which acted as a snitch. Thinking from a different angle we can see how true the fine is.
We all know that internet explorer has been bundled with windows since a very long time, which makes internet explorer available on each and every pc. The anti-trust hearings started in 1998 when Bill gates was under the light due to the software.
Then he got away on the statement that the company is not trying to monopolize the computer business worldwide. Later in 2009 again the company was asked to provide users a different choice than Internet explorer and as a result the software on opening the first time shows a choice windows. But from feb 2011 to july 2012, the choice screen hasn't been there and that incident is named a technical error.
Now what do you think? The whole scenario must have changed from your point if view. The big question is that every time Microsoft does something wrong, who is the the third party always acting as the snitch. Share what you think about this fuss here or at www.facebook.com/digitfreak
