Google Chrome throwing false malware alarm on major websites, even YouTube

Google malware alertIf you visited YouTube or Devianart website on your favorite Google Chrome web browser, you might have noticed that it went nuts'. The Google Chrome has been reported to throw false malware alerts on the reputed websites, including YouTube.

A whole number of sites from such as imgur, Devianart, The San Fransisco Chronicle and YouTube were blocked for many users citing malware from us.bernerverein.ch.

The report was first sighted on twitter this afternoon and list a whole slew of websites that appear to be affected. The reason or bug is still unknown and has not been identified, as is where the malware came from and what its tryin' to do.

As long as it seems from the first sight - the alert might be just the false positive one, and there might have been bug on the Google chrome web browser end.

If there is something truly sketch afoot, chances are it wormed its way in through ad networks. It'll probably be cleaned up soon, but in the meantime it's probably wise to steer clear if "infected" sites if you can.
